ONE Jury
ONE IMAGE is guided by an international jury bringing together perspectives from photography, contemporary art, and curatorial practice. Each juror contributes an independent understanding of the photographic image — its language, its context, and its capacity to shape how reality is perceived.
Rather than comparing categories or genres, the jury approaches each submission as a singular photographic proposition. The process is not based on aesthetic competition, but on the search for an image whose existence proves necessary.
From all submissions, a field of works is formed for presentation in Sauveterre-de-Béarn. From within this field, one image is set as the response to the annual question.
The role of the jury is therefore not only evaluative, but decisional. Through its selection, a photographic image is established as a ONE WORK.
